The Studio Worldwide wanted to capture artists’ stories to feature on their newly launched platform, which is aimed at democratizing the art world. Their first series features 10 artists from around the world. They started by launching a new artist every Sunday with a collection released via short filmed positioned to break the mold of the modern art gallery. Each short was screened in partnership with Soho House in the artists’ respective cities as a lunch party for their collection. First up was Miami based sculptor and designer, Toby Kammerer. From Texas to Egypt to Anguilla, Toby was on the move as a child before landing in Miami. Now, having lived in Miami for over 10 years, he’s determined to showcase the side of the Magic City that is often overlooked in favor of the glitz and glamour of the city’s nightlife. With a focus on streetwear, natural beauty, and cultural heritage, Toby’s work is derived from his everyday experiences – Miami’s lush greenery and cuban coffee… city staples you’ll miss if you don’t pay attention.
