The Studio Worldwide wanted to capture artists’ stories to feature on their newly launched platform, which is aimed at democratizing the art world. Their first series features 10 artists from around the world. They started by launching a new artist every Sunday with a collection released via short filmed positioned to break the mold of the modern art gallery. Each short was screened in partnership with Soho House in the artists’ respective cities as a lunch party for their collection. Los Angeles based painter, Nick Perr thoughtfully considers his relationship to collections and locations. In his free and unrestricted manner, he turns his focus to a childhood pastime, an emerging passion, and LA – a city that holds a special place in his heart. Selecting his subjects carefully, but not treating them as preciously, Nick forces you to think about care and neglect, and how the two are intertwined.
